Within the Organisational Development Program in the Enterprise Services Group, People Connect provides operational Human Resource (HR) recruitment pay and conditions advice and services to the Bureau's employees. We provide a digital channel (Ask Cherwell) as the first point of contact for all support queries and incidents, with outstanding customer service. We serve the Bureau's geographically interspersed workforce, and our work is interesting, challenging and varied.
The successful applicant will team lead one of the three People Connect teams, Talent Acquistion, Operations and Payroll Processing. They will be responsible for daily operations of their team, including workload management, leave management, performance management, training and development of team members. The successful candidate will report directly to the People Connect Lead.
The Team Leader will be required to provide advice and support to resolve more complex queries, analyse data and assist with the identification of patterns and trends to support improvements to OD products and services. They will be required to contribute to business improvement initiatives, the implementation and review of systems and the development of policies and procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and influencing skills.
The successful applicant will be a highly knowledgeable and experienced HR professional with the demonstrated ability to manage and direct a large and constant workload while adhering to quality standards and demanding time frames. They will have a passion for strong customer service, best practice and continuous improvement, as well as demonstrated experiencing leading and managing teams, SAP HR and service management tool experience, and well-developed communication skills. The successful applicant will be team-oriented and enjoy making a positive impact on their team, customers and stakeholders.
An appreciation and understanding of broader APS HR functions is highly desirable.
